Shed Tip: Get your 40 Winks →
This is so true. I’ve been exhausted all day and I keep thinking “I need a Coke.. caffiene… cookies, to raise my blood sugar level and pep me up!” Sadly, I’ve already overindulged. Time for a nap?

Getting back on track
1. Don’t turn a bad meal into a bad MONTH. It’s all about being aware and able to move forward, and being willing to make conscious, smart decisions. If you eat too much or have a high-calorie meal (and it happens to all of us), there’s no reason to give up and blow the rest of the day. Truly. That kind of attitude is not productive and could even lead you to blow the week or...

Wtf, Skinny Minnie?
Here’s what happened: I went on vacation. “So what?” you say. I know, I know. A week of allowing myself to indulge turned into 2 weeks, turned into a MONTH of blowing off my work outs and eating out waaaay too much. During the last month I’ve also moved back in with the parents, which is horrible for me, eating-wise. My dad is cajun and cooks the most amazing things,...

Sometimes I eat Cheerios like it's my job.
No milk, just dry plain Cheerios. They are delicious!
I know I've been bad about posting lately.
It’s been a rough week emotionally. BUT the diet is going well- I saw 172 on the scale this morning! Just gotta stick with it. Tomorrow I start WEEK 5 of Couch to 5K. Kill me now!
Well I made it through the weekend without...
I’m talkin’ funnel cakes, cotton candy, hamburgers, chick fil a, fries, and tons of yummy-smelling things. I went to a cookout, but luckily the hostess is dieting too and had 98% fat free hot dogs! So I had one of those. Lucked out on that one!
Otherwise I ate at home!
It’s not ALL good news, though- I did consume a whoooole lot of beer. So… yeah.
But I’m on my...
Mini Rant on Pants
Okay, so most of my pants are too big around the waste (in order to fit my thighs), and I get so mad every day trying to figure this out:
BELT OR NO BELT?
When I wear a belt, my pants stay up, but the cinching of the belt in my waist area enhances the ickiness that is my muffin top. Drives me nuts.
But without it my crack shows and I spend the whole day pulling my pants up!
Tonight I’m...

Weekend woes
There is a big festival happening in my town this weekend and lots of fun cookouts and parties to attend in light of that. What does this mean for my diet? I pretty much know I’m going to splurge. I’m going to try SO hard not to eat out or consume junk food and hot dogs, but the alcohol consumption alone will definitely put me over my calorie budget.
So, I’m excited about the...

Sometimes I wish I was a movie star
if for no other reason than sometimes I would be required to gain weight for a role! Ha, wouldn’t that be fun? Like Renee for Bridget Jones? You’re used to having a personal trainer (which would of course be the other perk of being a movie star), and then the studio people come by and are like, “Just kidding! We need to fatten you up. Here, have a cheeseburger.”
Then...

YUM
I just made the most delicious sauce, and there was barely any cooking involved! I followed this recipe but added a little minced garlic and used dried basil flakes instead of fresh basil.
I’m telling you, easy and delicious. Try it!

I am a 23 year old female, 5’5”, and 176 lbs. My activity level is pretty light- I walk to work (about 3 miles round trip) 2 days a week and do 30 minutes of running 3 days a week. I went to this website to try their calorie calculator and it said I need to eat 1800 calories per day. That seems high! What is your advice for how many calories per day someone with...
